HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL

I've been busy over the last couple of weeks making Christmas pressies, so thought I would share some of them with you.

List books and post it note sets made for my friends.

Calendar and post it note set made.  This is a clever idea I picked up from You Tube, the calendar stands with the aid of a bulldog clip.

And yet another calendar.

Birthday card for a 2 year old.

I was asked by one of my friends if I would make a birthday card for her grandson's 2nd birthday.  He likes Thomas the Tank Engine and could I add a baby in a crib somewhere as he is getting a little brother or sister in a couple of months.  The crib was just a step too far, so I added a baby's pram, couldn't think of any other way of combining.

Christmas Card

I haven't blogged for ages, been busy making Christmas cards and pressies.  This year most of my pressies are handmade or hand baked, so I had really set myself up for a busy time, but I can now relax as all is done in the paper craft front, just two arran jumpers to knit before Christmas day.

This is a couple of christmas cards I made, which I absolutely love.  This year I have kept my cards all white, clean and uncluttered.  I received an Ebosser for my Christmas which of course I had to test before xmas in case it didn't work.

Birthday card for a line dancer

I was asked to make a card for a 60th birthday, the lady loves line dancing.  Not being a line dancer myself I had to do some surfing to find some information, the flags down the side of the main topper are line dancing steps.

The main image is a MayzyArt digi stamp which I took into Craft Artist and made a border for the bottom of the card.  http://mayzyart.blogspot.com/2012/11/two-new-stamps-from-mayzyart.html.

I am really happy with the card and hope the recipient enjoys it.

Bling It Up Challenge

3 projects I completed for Aly's Crafty challenge  Bling It Up.    http://www.facebook.com/?ref=logo#!/groups/335678713185312/ which is open till the end of November.  As part of the Design Team my efforts can now be published.

First one is a tag, made using a birdcage cut from the cricut (Straight from the nest), Marianne design tree and flower dies, loads of feathers and gems.
This notebook started out as the one on the left, i covered it with Stampin Up paper, used the TH tattered flower to cut out some material, then stamped the spoons and cut out.  The Notes tag is a Marianne die.

This is a wall hanging completed using jigsaw pieces cut from the Cricut ( My Community).  The paper is DCWV The all about Girls stack, shoes and crown are cut from the cricut and the handbags are peel offs, I didn't have a handbag on my cricut.  The metal embellishments are 7 gypsies which i got for a bargain on my last trip to New Zealand.

I hope you will consider taking part in this challenge

Christmas has started

This is a snack tray I altered for a challenge with UKATC, the theme was red, green, gold, silver and Christmas.  The Santa is a Molly Bloom coloured with my Copics, the tree is an Anna Griffin embellishments.  The recipient loves owls so I could not resist putting a Hunkedory topper on the front.  I stopped myself from adding anything else to it.

Halloween Artist Trading Card

My attempt at a Halloween ATC, love this stamp set, which is by Lindsay Mason, there is a great text stamp in it which says "things are unravelling" which i think is great.

I used TH distress stains, and then black soot ink over a brick wall mask, used the Inspiration Jar stamp from The Artistic Stamper and coloured in with my copics.  The ticket is from Whimsey stamps courtesy of That Craft Place (thanks Lisa). I don't really do Halloween, but decided to give it a go for a challenge on Running with scissors
